Drummers
Learning to play different rhythms, i.e. pattern recognition, is a way to wake up the brain and stimulate mental and muscle memory. But unlike "brain gyms," crossword puzzles and PBS specials, drumming is sensuous – it involves body and soul. Drumming strengths muscles, improves coordination, and sharpens memory. Another way to put it: Drumming is fun
